It's race weekend in Thunder Valley.  Bristol Dragway plays host to the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series and the running of the O'Reilly NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals.  The schedule includes three full days of racing highlighted by Top Fuel, Funny Car and Pro Stock racing action.

In addition to a field of Sportsman racers, the card also includes Pro Mods and Nitro Harleys.  On Friday, following the final round of Pro qualifying will celebrate our nation's birthday with the Sunoco Thunder Over The Valley Fireworks Show presented by WQUT Classic Rock FM 101.5 and Charter Media.

Saturday's on-track action is followed by Bristol Dragway's Fan Appreciation Party with free food, racer meet and greets and music by Cole Deggs and the Lonesome.  The party is presented by WXBQ FM-96.9 and Charter Media.

FRIDAY, July 6

• Sportsman qualifying and eliminations, begin at 8 a.m.

• Sportsman eliminations begin at 8 a.m.
• PRO QUALIFYING SESSIONS at 12:30 p.m. and 3 p.m.
• Fan Appreciation Party featuring Cole Deggs and The Lonesome (after final round of Pro)

SUNDAY, July 8

• Pre-race ceremonies, 11 a.m.
• FINAL ELIMINATIONS begin at noon
