Johnson Controls Ice Rink

For the past six years in November, Bristol Motor Speedway trades race tires and concrete for skates and ice when the Johnson Controls Ice Rink is erected as part of Speedway In Lights.

Since the Johnson Controls Ice Rink is the only rink in the immediate area, it is a very popular attraction with young and old alike.

In the first six years of operation, approximately 150,000 skaters visited the rink. The 60' x 120' rink sits beneath a tent and is located at the Speedway's main entrance just off Hwy. 11E (Volunteer Parkway) near the elevator tower displaying the large "Bristol" signage.

The Johnson Controls Ice Rink will open six days a week, beginning on Tuesday, November 11 and running through January 11. Tuesday through Thursday, the rink will open from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. Friday hours are from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., and on Saturday and Sunday the rink will open from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. The cost to skate is $5, plus an additional $2 for skate rental.
