BRISTOL, Tenn. (Friday, August 8, 2014) - The No. 3 Richard Childress Racing (RCR) team called on Tennessee's Volunteer spirit to energize their NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Rookie of the Year contender, Austin Dillon. The RCR No. 3 team has six races before the Chase, including the upcoming IRWIN Tools Night Race at Bristol Motor Speedway, to secure their spot.

"I definitely got pumped up today," remarked the Richard Childress Racing driver. "Walking into Neyland - the prestige that it shows - it's just an unbelievable place. Walking into Bristol Motor Speedway has that same feeling.

"Bristol is one of those places, it's like an 8th wonder of the world. You have to go see it and you have to be part of it. When you go there for the first time, the fans and the way its set up, it's an amazing place. It's got to be a feeling like you're running out on the field here at UT."

Dillon, who toured the University of Tennessee athletic facilities and showed off his arm during quarterback drills, returns to the Volunteer State in just two weeks for the Aug. 23 IRWIN Tools Night Race.
