Season Opener Now Widow Wax 125 Presented By Sealwrap Repair Tape

Bristol Motor Speedway today announced the Welch & Wilson Motorsports sponsorship of the season-opening NASCAR K&N Pro Series East event March 17 – now known as the Widow Wax 125 presented by SealWrap Repair Tape.

The Indiana-based organization operates a national warehousing and logistic company and distributes an array of race product lines.

Welch & Wilson Motorsports sponsors Ryan Blaney in the K&N and Nationwide Series through one of its brands, SealWrap Repair Tape. W&W Motorsports also has joint- venture sponsorship with Widow Wax and Tommy Baldwin Racing in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.

Jerry Caldwell, BMS general manager and executive vice president, is happy to have Welch & Wilson Motorsports as part of the Bristol team.

“We’re really excited about the K&N Series being here for the first time,” said Caldwell. “We know it’s going to be a great race for our fans and it’s obvious that Welch & Wilson Motorsports feel the same by entitling the event with two of its brands.”

The Widow Wax 125 presented by SealWrap Repair Tape is part of a Saturday doubleheader at BMS, which also features the Ford EcoBoost 300. The Ford EcoBoost 300 goes green at 2 p.m., while the Widow Wax 125 is set for 6:15 p.m.

Tickets for the doubleheader are available starting at $35 and may be purchase by calling the BMS ticket office at 1-866-415-4158 or 423-BRISTOL (274-7865); or fans may purchase online. Tickets for children 15 and under start at $17.

March race weekend ticket packages, which include the Food City 500 and the Ford EcoBoost 300/Widow Wax 125 events, also are available, starting at $99. A package in the Wallace Tower for both Sprint Cup races also is available for $99, while packages for fans 15 and younger are available for the March races at half price. Lower-row seating for the Food City 500 is available with tickets starting at $65 for adults and $32 for children 15 and under.

Guests are encouraged to purchase in advance while the price is $5 less per grandstand ticket than the race-day cost for the same seat.

BMS season tickets, which include the Food City 500 and IRWIN Tools Night Race Sprint Cup races, as well as both the Ford EcoBoost 300, the Food City 250 and the Widow Wax 125, also are on sale. Pricing for all four races begins at just $175 in the Wallace Tower.
