Statement from Jerry Caldwell, Bristol Motor Speedway General Manager and Executive Vice President, on the passing of Denny Darnell:

"Denny Darnell didn't know a stranger in our community and motorsports industry because of his tireless work and passion for others.  After leaving his mark on Bristol Motor Speedway, he created an even larger following of fans within racing community as he coached drivers, mentored public relationships representatives and persuaded media and key stakeholders to his point of view in the most gracious of ways. He is a legend, and we will miss him greatly.  Our thoughts, prayers and support are with his wife Jean and son Trey during this difficult time."
