Marsh Regional Blood Center will hold the tenth annual Patriot Day Blood Drive at Bristol Motor Speedway (BMS) on Friday, Sept. 11 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

"This drive is the largest event we do during the year," said Constance Ferguson, donor recruiter.  "We're so grateful to everyone who comes to give in honor of all those who serve in the armed forces and emergency response organizations."

All donors will receive a free t-shirt and snacks. The first 200 donors will also receive a BMS gift bag and a complimentary pass to both nights of the National Fireworks Association's (NFA) public firework demonstrations, which take place Friday and Saturday evenings, September 11 and 12.

All guests wishing to view the firework displays should note that these are non-traditional shows designed to be fired and viewed from ground level. Unlike the larger, higher-altitude shows associated with Independence Day or Sprint Cup celebrations, the NFA shows will be shot from the Bristol Dragway pit areas and largely visible only from the Thunder Valley grandstands.

Those wishing to give blood should come to the North Entrance of Bristol Motor Speedway off Volunteer Parkway. The donation center will be visible from the entryway. Event sponsors include BMS, 96.9 WXBQ FM, WCYB, WJHL, and the National Fireworks Association. For more information, please contact Marsh Regional Blood Center at (423) 408-7500.
