In February, Jimmie Johnson reissued his Jimmie Johnson Wellness Challenge that originally started in 2014. He encouraged those in the NASCAR media to join him in the effort to improve their physical and mental health.

On the road, maintaining a healthy and balanced diet can be difficult. Speedway Motorsports CEO Marcus Smith and Bristol Motor Speedway GM Jerry Caldwell are dedicated to helping preserve a healthy lifestyle, so BMS is heeding the call and has added some new healthy options for media.

This weekend, BMS will be providing some healthy alternatives in the media center. During all three days, BMS will feature an enhanced salad option that features two different kinds of salad greens, tomato, onion, peppers, cranberries, croutons and numerous types of dressings.

In addition, BMS has added a "Grab'N'Go" counter for quick, healthy selections. This counter will be stocked with yogurt, cereals, different kinds of milk, fruit cups, whole fruits, vegetables with ranch dressing, Crustables and already-made sandwiches (tunafish, ham & swiss on wheat among others).

We hope you enjoy these healthy options as you navigate the facility this weekend. Please let us know if you have any other healthy option suggestions.
