We have a lot to be thankful for
As I’m writing this, I’m sure many of you have already started your Christmas plans whether you’ve purchased gifts for loved ones, or have your house decked out with bright lights and festive trees.
Before we get too far down the path of Santa and his 12 reindeer, I want to reflect on our latest holiday, Thanksgiving, and the essence of that day. I believe I can speak all of us at Bristol Motor Speedway to say we have a lot to be thankful for.
At written in Luke 12:48, “To whom much is given, much will be required,” this fits the Bristol Motor Speedway family and we gladly accept it. We as a company have been blessed being able to host hundreds of thousands of guests a year for various events.
Being a good community partner and giving back to the region that provides so much for us is something we cherish. We take pride in our area and want to be able to share our blessings with others in need.
My previous statement leads to an event that is near and dear to our hearts, and especially Claudia Byrd. The event I’m speaking of is the Bristol Chapter of Speedway Children’s Charities’ “Night of Smiles” we held a couple of weeks ago. This event is the pinnacle night of SCC as we’re able to financially assist needy organizations in the area.
This year was especially rewarding as Speedway Children’s Charities award $712,000 to 87 Regional Agencies. We wouldn’t be able to be as generous as we are without the kindness and generosity of individuals like yourself.
Whether it’s purchasing a rubber shark for the Sharky 500, participating in our golf tournament or attending Ford Speedway In Lights, Johnson Controls Ice Rink or HVAC Chill Hill, you’re aiding in our efforts to provide for the needy of our region.
Thanks again for being the best fans in motorsports. Your hospitable spirit shines through in many ways and your support of Speedway Children’s Charities is another prime example of this.
