As many of you know... Our mentor and everyone's friend, the late Jeff Byrd has been in the news throughout the last few days. His 2012 Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame induction was announced Monday. But even more fitting was the Speedway In Lights “Random Act of Kindness” evening honoring his generous spirit on Sunday.

I had a chance to spend a couple minutes with Dave Stafford, from W.Va., and discussed what he enjoys doing before race week as well as his feelings towards Bristol Motor Speedway!

Wednesday had been a hectic day for me. You know, one of those days where you add more things to your "to do" list than you're able to check off? Yep. That was my Wednesday, and my schedule was booked every hour into the night. With notes about several open projects strewn across my desk, I headed into the training session and pushed thoughts of the other things to be done out of my head.
