The Charlotte Observer names BMS the best place to watch a race.

Juan Pablo Montoya:

"It is a very unique track and always fun to race there. We always run well there so it makes it even more fun. And, it is always a challenge… it’s a tough little place. You are always busy, always racing with somebody especially since they changed it; I think they made it a lot better. Now you can run side by side." 

During the announcement renaming the 2011 Food City 500 the Jeff Byrd 500, nine-time Bristol winner Rusty Wallace talked about Bristol Motor Speedway's unique standing when compared to other racing venues.
