Six lucky fans will have their dreams come true during August's Sharpie 500 race weekend when their hero, Fred King, takes them for a night on the town as part of the "Heck Yeah, I Want To Chow Down With My Hero Fred" contest.
Don and Wendy Bennett of Fairfield, Ohio, John and Michelle Gannon of Liberty Lake, Wash., and Mark and Cindy Howton of Arab, Ala. are the winners of this season's contest and should prepare for the racing experience of a lifetime.
The winners will be swept away for an exciting night with Fred and his wife Judy on Thursday of race week. The group will travel by limousine to The Troutdale Dining Room in Bristol and will receive individual customized gift bags containing over $250 dollars worth of BMS merchandise. To complete the weekend, the couples will receive the holy grail of motorsports, cold pit passes for Saturday afternoon of the Sharpie 500.
"I've been doing this contest since 1998, and the number of entries for this season set a new record," said King. "I want to thank everyone who participated and hope they will enter again next year for the chance to win the ultimate race week package.
"We will begin taking entries for August 2010 with publication of the next Bristol Magazine. For details, be on the lookout for my article that will appear in the issue."
Be sure to catch Fred King's racing movie reviews in each edition of Bristol Magazine.
