Countless drivers, broadcasters, racing personalities and fans often have referred to Bristol Motor Speedway as a giant colosseum. Our advertising agency, The Tombras Group, recently applied that concept when developing the ad creative for the August 2007 Race Week campaign.
Promoting the classic battles characteristic of Bristol's Food City 250 NASCAR Busch Series event, the spot portrays BMS as a venue reminiscent of the historic ancient arenas in Rome and Greece.
The TV spot is a bit from the norm, as those of you who are familiar with our commercials will readily recognize. By the way, if the spelling col·os·se·um looks a little odd, no worries. This spelling variant of coliseum comes from the word colossus or gigantic - an apt fit for a 160,000-seat venue.
