As part of the continuing effort to ease the burden fans are feeling in their wallets, Bristol Motor Speedway officials announce the opening today of a new section for camping -- at 1999 prices.
Bristol race fans looking for great camping at affordable prices for the 2009 events at Bristol Motor Speedway should look no further than the new Landing Campground.
Sites at the Landing will be available during the Food City 500 and Sharpie 500 race weekends for only $99 each, a price that was available almost a decade ago. The campsites are currently available for purchase and you can reserve a site by calling the camping office at (423) 989-6944. A maximum of two spots per event, per person may be reserved.
"All of us know the current economic climate, which is why we are taking steps to keep The Bristol Experience in reach of our fans. We are freezing 2009 ticket prices at 2008 levels, and now at The Landing, we are offering the lowest price camping option in the area," said BMS president Jeff Byrd.
By purchasing spots for the 2009 season, race fans will be able to reserve their spaces for 2010 and beyond. After 2009, the spaces will be renewable each year at a price to be determined. Each site is 20' by 50' and many offer a beautiful view of Holston Mountain. Shuttle service will carry guests to and from the speedway on event days. Guests also will have shower house access via a shuttle service. One car pass is available for each space. No tents are allowed.
