Here's what you need to get started:

  • Garden Rake
  • Scotts® Turf Builder® Seeding Soil
  • Scotts® Turf Builder® Grass Seed
  • Scotts® EdgeGuard DLX Spreader for larger areas
  • or Scotts® EasyTM Hand-Held Spreader for smaller areas
  • Scotts® Turf Builder® Starter Fertilizer
  • Garden Hose or Sprinkler

REPAIR BURNOUTS

With a few simple steps and the right products those troublesome areas will disappear in no time.

  1. Raking the soil first loosens it up and provides a easier surface for roots to grow.
  2. Spread Scotts® Turf Builder® Seeding Soil evenly over the area to provide an optimal environment for grass seed growth.
  3. Using a push or handheld spreader, apply Scotts® Turf Builder® Grass Seed over the area and feed with Scotts® Starter Fertilizer will ensure that your seed gets off to a great start by providing a blend of nutrients specially designed for newly seeded areas.
  4. Water, be sure to keep the top layer of the soil moist until grass is established and you should start seeing grass within 2 weeks.
