Before BMS racing movie guru Fred King hangs up his movie critic’s hat, he wants to give race fans a chance to get in on the fun and win a few unique prizes for the IRWIN Tools Night Race weekend.

During his time writing movie reviews for Bristol Magazine, Fred viewed several of Hollywood’s finest attempts to portray the motorsports world on the big screen. According to him, very few succeeded.

To test race fans’ knowledge of racing movies (and to see if they were actually reading his content), Fred recently offered a 12-question quiz in the Spring 2012 issue  of Bristol Magazine with two of the biggest prizes in motorsports going to the winner.

The person who correctly identifies the most movie titles will win two passes for “The Roof at Turn 4,” allowing them to take in the action at the World’s Fastest Half-Mile from a prime location inside the BMS infield, an $800 value. If that weren’t enough, the winner and one guest will attend one of the most exclusive events in NASCAR, the Sprint Cup Series drivers’ meeting preceding the IRWIN Tools Night Race.

For the lucky winner, the reward will be well worth the effort, as very few people ever are able to participate in either experience.

Additionally, Fred also provides details in the magazine about how to enter his popular “Heck yeah, I want to chow down with my hero, Fred” contest. The winners of that contest will be personal guests of Fred and his wife on Thursday night of August race weekend. After dinner at The Troutdale Dining Room, each guest will receive a gift bag with $250 of BMS merchandise and pit passes good for entry prior to the IRWIN Tools Night Race.

For more information about both contests, pick up the Spring 2012 issue of Bristol Magazine and turn to page 27 for all the details.
