AutoTrader.com Speedway In Lights Introduces Frequent Visitor Card; Every Fourth Visit Free
Frequent visitors to the 15th edition of AutoTrader.com Speedway In Lights powered by TVA at Bristol Motor Speedway and Dragway will be rewarded with a free night to the holiday light show this season.
Beginning opening night, Nov. 18, visitors receive the Light Looker Club Card upon entry to Speedway In Lights. Guests presenting the card at the SIL ticket booth on three subsequent visits receive a free pass for a fourth trip.
Visitors to Speedway In Lights may find the card on the cover of the program each guest receives when they arrive at BMS. The card is perforated for easy detachment.
Claudia Byrd, director of the Bristol Chapter of Speedway Children’s Charities, believes frequent visitors should be recognized for their support of the holiday show, one of the largest in America.
“Everybody who comes out to the show knows they’re going to have a great time, but they also realize that by being here, they’re helping kids all over this area,” Byrd said.
“This is simply a small holiday gift for the many thousands of people who so loyally support AutoTrader.com Speedway In Lights and Speedway Children’s Charities.”
Speedway In Lights is open nightly though Jan. 7, 2012. The 4.5 mile drive-through route, which allows visitors to drive on the World’s Fastest Half-Mile and through Thunder Valley, features more than 200 colorful holiday-themed displays and in excess of two million lights.
Guests also can choose to let someone else do the driving by taking advantage of Santa’s Speedway Sleigh, a special tram which offers a cozy, open-air experience, complete with blankets for chilly evenings.
Santa’s Speedway Sleigh is available Wednesdays and Thursdays throughout the run of Speedway In Lights. The tram stops for 30 minutes on each run in the BMS infield for passengers to enjoy the carnival rides, crafts and food vendors located in Christmas Village.
Santa’s Speedway Sleigh begins operation Nov. 23 and leaves from a boarding station located near the HVAC Chill Hill at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. Tickets, available at the station, are only $8 for adults and $5 for children. Groups can reserve the entire sleigh, but are asked to call in advance. Parking is located in the North Entrance parking lot of BMS.
For those wishing to drive themselves through Speedway In Lights, tickets are available at the BMS gate. Ticket prices for cars are $10 Sunday through Thursday, and $12 Friday and Saturday. Activity van tickets are $15 each night and bus tickets are $65 each night.
