After 17 seasons, Ford Speedway In Lights powered by TVA has become a can't-miss holiday tradition for many in our region. With more than 2 million twinkling bulbs illuminated in over 200 dazzling displays, the South's largest holiday light show promises to enchant every member of the family, and in 2013 features new elements that ensure even returning guests will continue to be captivated by Bristol Motor Speedway's winter wonderland.

Starting tonight guests stopping at this year's Christmas Village not only have the opportunity to roast marshmallows and visit with Santa, they can also test their football prowess at the Battle at Bristol Fan Zone and Light Display, also located in the BMS infield. In addition to a lighted, football-themed display set atop the Goodyear Building in Turns 1 and 2, the Fan Zone features a small-scale replica of the field, complete with Virginia Tech and Tennessee end zones, positioned on the front stretch of pit road and various interactive football activities.

Along with walking the field of play, on Mondays fans of the gridiron can test their throwing arm at the display's football toss, demonstrate their footwork by maneuvering around the field's inflatable players and declare their loyalty by taking photos as players and cheerleaders from their favorite team.

The Battle at Bristol Fan Zone is open from 6-9 p.m. and all activities are free of charge. Cost for Ford Speedway In Lights, open nightly from 6-10 p.m., is $12 for cars Sunday through Thursday and $15 on Friday and Saturday. Activity van tickets are $20 each night and tickets for buses are $85 each night. Tickets are available at the route entrance, located at the Bristol Dragway entrance just off Hwy. 394.

All proceeds from Speedway In Lights benefit the Bristol chapter of Speedway Children's Charities which raises money in support of children's agencies throughout Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia.
