Bristol Motor Speedway Adds Full-Service Scanner Station to Enhance Guest Experience
Bristol Motor Speedway is offering guests on property during IRWIN Tools Night Race week yet another way to gain information and be entertained at the same time.
Bristol LIVE, a full-service radio-style BMS scanner station, launches Wednesday, August 21 at noon. Designed to give fans information about moving around speedway property as well as what is happening inside and out of the track, guests can access the broadcast by tuning to scanner frequency 454.5000 or through the Bristol Motor Speedway mobile app.
"This is our latest initiative in providing our guests the best experience in racing," said Jerry Caldwell, BMS General Manager. "Since creating a Guest Relations Department three years ago, we have expanded our guest guide, expanded information on our web site, created 3D maps to hand out on property and last year, added our mobile app.
"Now, by adding what we believe is the only full-service radio format in our industry dedicated to all-things related to race weekend, guests visiting the Last Great Colosseum have another way to stay informed."
During IRWIN Tools Night Race week, Bristol LIVE provides event and on-track information, weather updates, interviews, music and answers to questions posted on BMS social media channels.
Produced and managed by Tri-Cities radio personality Tom Taylor, air times for Bristol LIVE are: Noon to 6 p.m., Wednesday, August 21, 9 a.m. until PRN air time and one-hour post-race Friday, August 23, and 9 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. and again post-race Saturday Aug. 24. Service provided by Speedway Motorsports Partner Racing Electronics.
To attend one of the most competitive double-headers in racing - the Titan Roof 150 Whelen Modified and the UNOH 200 Camping World Truck Series - fans can grab tickets for $30. Those 15-and-under are free.
Several ticket options remain for those wanting to experience the excitement of the IRWIN Tools Night Race firsthand as well. Starting at just $75 for a single-day tickets or $99 for weekend packages, fans purchasing early can save $5 off the race week price. Cost for Food City 250 tickets are as low as $35 and half-price for youth 15-and-under.
Prices increase $5 at midnight on August 19.
