For one week only, officials with the Bristol Chapter of Speedway Children's Charities are offering those purchasing tickets to Thunder Valley Fly and Wine expo to receive the same number of tickets free.

The offer, valid April 14 - 18, allows purchasers to participate in the event's expo which raises money in support of children's organizations in Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia while highlighting one of the region's most profitable outdoor tourism draws.

"Thunder Valley Fly and Wine is such a unique event that really showcases one of our region's greatest assets," said Executive Director of the Bristol Chapter of Speedway Children's Charities Claudia Byrd. "Since our primary mission is to raise money in support of local children's organization, it's not typical for us to create these types of offers, but this event is still new for us.

"We hope this offer encourages those already attending to bring their friends to this great event and provides another way for us to raise awareness about our mission at SCC, because everything we do is for the kids."

Expanded for its second season, the April 25-27 event includes seminars from some fly-fishing legends, casting clinics and competitions, fly-tying demonstrations, the Fly 101 Kids Clinic and a wide variety of vendors showcasing the latest in gear and technology.

Single-day expo tickets are $10 or $15 for weekend tickets. Guests interested in sampling products from regional wineries and breweries may purchase a weekend wine/beer bundle ticket that includes entry into the expo and the Reedy Creek Vineyards Wine Garden and Holston River Brewing Company Beer Garden for $40 or a single-day bundle ticket for $25.

Bundled tickets are not included in the buy-one-get-one-free offer.
