Logano Earns Food City 500 Pole On Ford Fan Friday
Joey Logano earned his first career pole during Ford Fan Friday qualifying for Sunday's Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway.
Logano, 19, also became the youngest pole winner in Cup Series history as he snagged the top spot with a lap of 15.396 seconds at 124.630 mph.
Kurt Busch wheeled his machine to the outside front row, while Dave Blaney placed his unsponsored machine in the third position.
Hendrick drivers Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon will start fourth and fifth, respectively, while Juan Pablo Montoya, Matt Kenseth, Carl Edwards, Marcos Ambrose and David Reutimann round out the top-10.
A full slate of action is on tap for Saturday at Bristol Motor Speedway, with the Nationwide Series Scotts Turf Builder 300 and Scotts EZ Seed Showdown.
The Nationwide stars will do battle in the first event, while the sport's legendary drivers take to the the track once more in the night cap.
The weekend concludes with the race every race fan should see, the Food City 500.
