This August Maryville resident Chris Wolford, along with 15 of his closest friends, will gain a whole new perspective on Bristol Motor Speedway's IRWIN Tools Night Race. As a 14-year season ticket holder, Wolford reaped the benefits of buying early and won the ultimate upgrade - use of a private skybox suite for the Aug. 24 event, NASCAR's most popular race.

"This is a once in a lifetime experience," he said. "I've attended many races at Bristol, but the opportunity to watch from a suite with 15 of my family and friends will make this an evening to remember."

Making the experience a family affair, Wolford plans to bring his 12-year-old triplets to watch their first race in style and says he can think of no better place to introduce his children to the thrill of racing.

"The atmosphere at the Bristol night race is second to none," he said. "There's so much excitement in the air, and everything is so close. You're always right on top of the action. There's no place like it. The track is legendary. I sometimes invite clients to attend the races with me, and no matter where I am people are ecstatic about the opportunity to see a race at Bristol."

Wolford was initially skeptical of his fortuitous win in the contest, open to guests who purchased tickets prior to April 15, but his doubt quickly turned to disbelief.

"I cautioned my wife not to get too excited after hearing the first voicemail," he said. "But once I talked with the staff at Bristol and learned the extent of the gift - it's such a valuable prize -- I was totally blown away. We're incredibly excited and appreciative of the opportunity. My wife and I have discussed it every night since we confirmed the news."
