In August 2013 Matt Kenseth reigned victorious at the Last Great Colosseum, edging out second-place finisher Kasey Kahne by a mere .188 seconds to notch his sixth overall Bristol win.

"Bristol, the last few times, has been really good to us," he said. "Both the spring races this year and last year we performed really good, so hopefully we'll go in the fall and be really competitive at the end when it counts."

And while he counts winning the 2005 Night Race as one of his favorite Bristol moments, the Joe Gibbs Racing driver reveals his first Nationwide victory was equally as memorable.

"Besides winning our first night race, my first Nationwide win there was pretty fun," said the Cambridge, Wis. native. "My best friend came down for the race and as we're doing all of our media, I'll never forget it, I look over and he's carrying that big trophy over his head running down the front stretch. That's probably one of my most fun memories from there honestly."

It is that level of excitement and enthusiasm, experienced by drivers and fans alike, which Kenseth credits for setting a part the World's Fastest Half Mile.

"I've always liked the atmosphere at Bristol," he said. "It's really fast with a lot of people packed in there. It's still a short track, but man, with these new rules and cars and configurations - we're just going so fast it makes it kinda tough to pass.

"It's a fun environment and everything happens really, really fast. You have to be on your game all the time."
