NASCAR Artist Sam Bass to visit BMS Dec. 16-17 to introduce inaugural Speedway In Lights art
Sam Bass, NASCAR’s most prolific artist, has created hundreds of pieces of racing-inspired work throughout his career. Because of his normal subject matter, however, winter-related activities rarely – not surprisingly – are depicted in his vast portfolio.
That is no longer the case as Bass has created a special AutoTrader.com Speedway In Lights powered by TVA poster just for Bristol Motor Speedway. The poster features Santa leading a speeding pack of cars, driven by a snowman and a certain red-nosed Reindeer, around the World’s Fastest Half-Mile.
This is the first in a series of posters Bass will create for Speedway In Lights, with a new one coming out each year.
Bass will be at BMS Dec. 16-17 from 6-10 p.m. selling and signing the posters in Christmas Village. Other products from his collection also will be available.
The posters are available in Christmas Village for $5 each. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the posters will benefit the Bristol Chapter of Speedway Children’s Charities.
Tickets for AutoTrader.com Speedway In Lights powered by TVA, open nightly 6-10 p.m. through Jan. 7, are available at the BMS gate. Ticket prices for cars are $10 Sunday through Thursday, and $12 Friday and Saturday. Activity van tickets are $15 each night and bus tickets are $65 each night.
