Ole Smoky® Moonshine Is Getting In Gear To Join BMS As Official Partner
Hey NASCAR fans, no need to sneak your moonshine in to the races anymore! Tennessee’s own Ole Smoky® Moonshine from the Great Smoky Mountains is teaming up with Bristol Motor Speedway (BMS) to bring NASCAR fans some shine. Ole Smoky® Moonshine will become an official BMS partner in 2012.
Ole Smoky® Moonshine, the first federally licensed distillery in East Tennessee is based in Gatlinburg. The company, a locally owned family business, is excited about becoming part of the BMS family.
“We are proud to partner with Bristol Motor Speedway,” said Ole Smoky® co-founder Joseph Baker. “Our products are built on the history and heritage of people in East Tennessee. The roots of this partnership with racing run deep. As we all know, moonshine brought us racing and now we’re bringing moonshine back to racing.”
BMS executive vice president and general manager Jerry Caldwell feels the relationship with Ole Smoky® is a great fit for one of NASCAR’s oldest and most revered speedways.
“We couldn’t be happier to have Ole Smoky on board,” he said. “It’s wonderful that they are based right here in East Tennessee and that they are so excited about being involved in NASCAR. It’s always great when you have local sponsors so interested in partnering with you. We are extremely proud to have them as part of the Bristol Motor Speedway family.”
