Whether it features strings of bejeweled Christmas bulbs, a three-dimensional cotton Frosty or a trio of frolicking reindeer, wearing a tacky holiday sweater earns a free skate rental for anyone visiting Bristol Motor Speedway's Johnson Controls Ice Rink this Thursday, Dec. 19.

The only rink within a 90-minute driving radius, Johnson Controls Ice Rink is one of the Speedway's most popular non-motorsports related events and attracts thousands of visitors each year. Located just inside the north entrance of Bristol Motor Speedway, off Volunteer Parkway (Hwy. 11E), cost to skate is $5 with an additional $2 charge for skate rentals.

All proceeds from winter events at Bristol Motor Speedway, including the Johnson Controls Ice Rink, benefit the Bristol chapter of Speedway Children's Charities which raises money in support of children's agencies throughout Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia.
