Bristol Motor Speedway and Dragway honors military veterans at Speedway In Lights powered by TVA Thursday, Dec. 1.

During Veterans Appreciation Night, BMS recognizes the many men and women in the military who keep us safe, have fought and continue to fight for our freedom. That evening, several special activities are planned in the infield area at BMS in their honor, and some special guests will be in attendance.

The United States Department of Veterans Affairs, Mountain Home Medical Center also will be part of the evening with members of the group on hand to help honor military members and veterans.

Anyone with valid military identification card, retired or active, gets a 50 percent discount on admission Thursday evening.

Speedway In Lights is open though Jan. 7. Tickets for the show, open nightly 6-10 p.m., are available at the BMS gate. Ticket prices for cars are $10 Sunday through Thursday, and $12 Friday and Saturday. Activity van tickets are $15 each night and bus tickets are $65 each night.

The Johnson Controls Ice Rink ($7 admission/skate rental) and HVAC Chill Hill ($7 admission) are open through Jan. 15.
