Despite less than two weeks to promote three park-and-ride locations in the Bristol area, officials are encouraged by the response from race fans and have plans to bring back the service for August NASCAR races at Bristol Motor Speedway.

Two locations in the Exit 7 area of Bristol, Va., and one off Interstate 81 in Tennessee provided options for guests heading to the March 15 and 16 races at Bristol Motor Speedway.

"The locations offer local guests or visitors from out of town staying in area hotels options to park and take a shuttle to the races, erasing any concern of getting in and out and leaving that up to someone else," said Jerry Caldwell, executive vice president and general manager of Bristol Motor Speedway. "We had a mixture of guests from both here and outside the area take advantage of the benefit and believe with a few months to promote it, even more riders will make the choice in August.

"We already are working on expanding this by at least one location if not more for August," Caldwell said. "It is just another way we are trying to make the trip to BMS a great experience for our guests."

Tickets for all August NASCAR events at BMS are on sale with single-event and weekend pricing. Fans may call (855) 580-5525 or visit to reserve their seat at the next battle on the high banks of the Last Great Colosseum.
