Kicking off Friday, the schedule of a two-day event showcasing the blue-ribbon fly waters as well as the growing presence of vineyards in our region is set.

The Thunder Valley Fly & Wine, raising money for the Bristol chapter of Speedway Children’s Charities, has a little something for everyone.

Program, Friday, May 3rd, Opening Dinner

Spend an evening dining with the greats of the fly fishing sport at the Bruton Smith Building at Bristol Motor Speedway. Jeffrey Cardenas, Bob Clouser, Blane Chocklett and Beau Beasley will be entertaining guests with fish tales of all sorts. The evening will conclude with a live auction including items from the honored guests as well as other fly fishing goodies. Cost per person is $50.

Time: 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
Cost: $10 per person. Pay at the gate. Cash only.

Thunder Valley Fly and Wine Expo will happen May 4 at Bristol Motor Speedway in hospitality village. Cost of entrance into the expo is just $10. Purchase a bundle ticket to the expo and wine garden for $30. Vendors will include fly shops from all over the region, fly fishing gear, and art highlighting the sport.

Noon: Flies, Lies & Other Fish Tales

Enjoy a private lunch with the big names of fly fishing. You will enjoy a catered lunch in a Bristol Dragway suite with Bob Clouser, Jeffrey Cardenas, Blane Chocklett and Beau Beasley. Hear stories from the greats of the fly fishing world and even gather some inside tips! There are only 25 spots available, so register now. Cost is $100 per person and includes lunch, entry into the expo as well as the wine tasting.

8pm: Showing Of The Film: Where The Yellowstone Goes

“Where the Yellowstone Goes” is a film about a month long drift boat extravaganza along the Yellowstone River. Doors open at 7:15 p.m. and the movie will begin at 8:00 p.m. The ticket price of $10 includes one canned beverage and a bag of popcorn.
