Drag racing’s next generation of stars thunder into Bristol Dragway July 11-13 for the Mike Bos Chassis Craft Jr. Dragster Nationals, followed by the Mike Bos Fun Races on July 14-16. Leading into Eastern Conference Finals action, the Nationals have become one of the greatest junior dragster events in the country and provides competitors the opportunity to tune their cars prior to eliminations.

Drivers ranging in age from six to 17 will participate in several events throughout the weekend including Saturday’s index class racing and Sunday’s bracket racing. Index races take place in 7.90, 8.90, 11.90 and 13.90 classes (13.90 class is reserved for 6-7 year old racers). Competitors participating in bracket races will be divided into one of four age groups – 6-9, 10-12, 13-14 and 15-17.

Mike Bos Chassis Craft Fun Races are also slated to take place on Tuesday, July 15 and Wednesday, July 16 with the 13-17 age group racing Tuesday and ages 6-12 scheduled the second day.

2025 $5K Shootout

REGISTRATION FOR THE MIKE BOS 5K SHOOTOUT WILL BE TUESDAY, JUNE 10TH AT 10:00 AM. CLICK HERE FOR LINK

RETURNING IN 2022, REGISTRATION FOR THE PREDLUDE TO THE SHOOTOUT PRES. BY CRAW'S RACING WILL BE TUESDAY, JUNE 10TH AT 2:00 PM. CLICK HERE FOR LINK

In 2025, the Mike Bos 5K Shootout will award not only $5,000 cash to the winner, but also $2,000 to the runner-up, while semi-finalists will take home $1,000 each. The race, slated for Saturday, July 12th, features a 64-car field competing in true shoot out style. Entry fee for the race is $225, and no time trials are scheduled for the race.

To add to the excitement of the Junior Week at Bristol, the week will kick off with the Prelude To The Shootout Pres. By Craw's Racing on Friday, July 11th. This 32-Car Field will award $2,000 (Plus An Entry Into The Mike Bos 5K Shootout On Monday) to the Winner, with $1,000 to the runner-up, and semi-finalists taking home $500 each. Racers in the event will receive 1 time trials then immediately go into eliminations. The Entry Fee is $225.

No double entries in either race. Entries are not transferable for either, with both having separate waitlists. If full 64-car field does not get filled we will take the first 32 entries and payout $5,000 to the winner. If the 32-car field does not get filled, purse adjustments will potentially be made.
