MLB Speedway Classic Fan Code of Conduct 

IMPORTANT SECURITY PROCEDURES

In order to expedite your entry into Bristol Motor Speedway (BMS), please be aware that the following measures will be implemented. Bristol Motor Speedway and Major League Baseball (MLB) reserve the right at any time to adjust entry policies at their sole discretion without any prior notice.

PROHIBITED ITEMS

  • Outside alcoholic beverages, food (see Food and Beverage Policy below)
  • Illegal drugs
  • Aerosol cans (e.g., hairspray, etc.) (with the exception of Sunscreen, Sunblock, Hand Sanitizer, and Bug Spray)
  • Animals (except certified service animals or service animals in training)
  • Full size baseball bats (small souvenir bats approximately 20 inches long are permitted)
  • Balloons, beach balls, and other inflatable items
  • Frisbees and projectiles (baseballs are permitted)
  • Bags that are not clear and exceed 12in long by 12in high by 6in wide; (see Bag Policy below)
  • Confetti or noise makers (i.e., airhorns, cowbells, bullhorns, etc.)
  • Ice chests, dry ice, hard-sided coolers or soft-sided/foam coolers (soft-sided coolers, without the plastic liner, will only be permitted for medical needs)
  • Professional cameras with detachable lenses
  • Camera tri, dual or single leg pods by non-media personnel / selfie sticks
  • False identification (fake ID)
  • Fireworks, firearms or other weapons (including knives of any size, mace, pepper spray, tasers/stun guns and toy replicas of weapons)
  • Banners, flags, and signs not in compliance with event policy (see Banner, Flag, and Sign Policy below)
  • Sticks, clubs (including signs attached to sticks) or full size brooms
  • Obscene, political, or indecent clothing
  • Utility tools/Multi-Purpose tools with a knife or blade
  • Folding/Collapsible chairs, tables, stools or devices used as such
  • Seat cushions that contain metal components and/or armrests
  • Glass, metal, or ceramic bottles
  • Laser devices or pointers
  • Skateboards, hoverboards, bicycles, and rollerblades
  • Unmanned Aerial Vehicles
  • Wrapped packages wherein the contents are not visible
  • Wagons

If any prohibited items are found at the gates, security personnel will ask guests to return the items to their vehicles or dispose of them. Bristol Motor Speedway staff will not accept or store prohibited items at the gates or Guest Services.

All bags are subject to inspection. Security must be able to clearly see and identify all contents, including items at the bottom of the bag. Bags with interior contents that cannot be fully viewed will not be allowed into Bristol Motor Speedway.

BAG POLICY

To provide a safer environment for the public and expedite entry into Bristol Motor Speedway, MLB and Bristol Motor Speedway has a policy limiting the size and type of bag allowed into the stadium for the 2025 MLB Speedway Classic.

We strongly encourage you not to bring any type of bag, but have outlined what is permissible. For the 2025 MLB Speedway Classic, fans will be able to carry only the following style and size bag into the stadium:

  • Bags that are clear and do not exceed 12in long by 12in high by 6in wide
  • Small clutch purses or fanny packs, with or without a handle or strap, not exceeding 4.5in by 6.5in
  • Exceptions will be made for medically and accessible necessary bags after inspection at any entrance (see below)
    • Fans will be permitted to bring bags that meet specific personal or medical needs, including medical bags no larger than necessary to transport essential medical equipment, breast pumps and nursing supplies, diaper bags for those accompanied by an infant or toddler, and other bags required to accommodate accessible needs. After medical bags are inspected at the gate, they will be required to be tagged by security staff. This tag will indicate the bag has been approved for entry into Bristol Motor Speedway.
  • Prohibited items will not be held during the event and must be returned to your vehicle or disposed of

Prohibited items include, but are not limited to: purses or bags larger than a clutch bag, coolers, briefcases, backpacks (non-clear), luggage of any kind, camera bags or binocular cases. Fans may continue to carry approved items without a bag (e.g., binoculars, cameras and smart phones) into Bristol Motor Speedway. Please use only approved bags for the 2025 MLB Speedway Classic and ensure items placed into the clear bag are permissible. BANNER, FLAG & SIGN POLICY

MLB and Bristol Motor Speedway welcome baseball-related banners, flags, and signs as long as they DO NOT:

  • Exceed 3ft x 5ft in size
  • Contain wood, metal or inflexible materials
  • Have any items affixed to them
  • Interfere with the game or other Guests' enjoyment of the game
  • Obstruct the view of other patrons
  • Obstruct existing ballpark signage or advertising
  • Contain any language that is:
    • Commercial (NO signage/ads pertaining to personal businesses or other commercial entities not associated with Bristol Motor Speedway or MLB)
    • Obscene (NO foul language or disrespectful statements)
    • Abusive or non-supportive towards any teams, players, countries, or regions
    • Political in nature
  • Attach to any ballpark walls, structures, or poles of any sort
  • Parade through any part of the ballpark/venue; may be displayed between innings ONLY

MLB and Bristol Motor Speedway reserve the right to remove any banner, flag, and/or sign that is deemed in violation of this policy. Venue-specific adjustments to this policy may only be made in coordination with MLB and Bristol Motor Speedway.

ALCOHOL POLICY

Fans are not permitted to bring any outside alcohol into Bristol Motor Speedway.

  • Alcohol sales in general seating areas, including the infield, are limited to two (2) alcoholic beverages per customer, per transaction. Sales in these areas will conclude at the end of the 7th inning. In premium seating and suites, alcohol sales are limited to two (2) alcoholic beverages per customer, per transaction and will conclude at the final out of the game.
  • Bristol Motor Speedway allows alcohol sales inside the gates and the exterior fan zone (within the fenced perimeter near Gate 4) to those 21 and older with a valid ID.
  • Alcohol beverages purchased within Bristol Motor Speedway and the exterior fan zone must be consumed within the venue and may not be taken out of the venue for any reason.
  • Fans may have no more than two (2) alcoholic beverages in their possession at any time. In-seat hawkers, and drinks containing two (2) oz or more of alcohol, are restricted to serving only one (1) alcoholic beverage per fan.
  • Guests must be 21 years of age or older with valid identification to purchase or consume alcohol.
  • Fans found with unauthorized alcohol can have their ticket confiscated and be removed from Bristol Motor Speedway without compensation.
  • The following may also result in your ejection from Bristol Motor Speedway and/or possible prosecution:
    • Attempting to use fraudulent identification
    • Public intoxication
    • Purchasing alcohol for a minor
    • A minor attempting to purchase or found to be in possession of alcohol
    • Anyone found in possession of alcohol after being given a warning not to consume or purchase
  • MLB and Bristol Motor Speedway staff reserves the right to refuse alcohol service/sales to any guests who appear intoxicated or do not present valid government issued photo ID.

FOOD & BEVERAGE POLICY

Outside food (unless for a medical-related circumstance), alcohol or other beverages are strictly prohibited into Bristol Motor Speedway. If any prohibited items are found at the gates, security personnel will ask fans to return the items to their vehicles or dispose of them. Bristol Motor Speedway staff will not accept or store prohibited items at the gates or Guest Services.

Fans are permitted to bring one empty, refillable plastic water bottle per person. Bottles must be empty upon entry and may be refilled at designated water stations inside Bristol Motor Speedway (glass, metal, and ceramic containers are not permitted).

 

SMOKING POLICY

Smoking, including the use of e-cigarettes and vaping devices, is strictly prohibited in the following areas:

  • All grandstands
  • Entry portals
  • Terraces
  • Suites
  • All Infield areas
  • Restrooms
  • Exterior fan zone within the fenced perimeter near Gate 4

Guests may smoke only in designated open concourse areas or parking lots.

 

RE-ENTRY POLICY

Re-entry is permitted at all Bristol Motor Speedway gates until the final out of the game.

  • Ticket Scanning Required: Guests must have their tickets scanned out at a designated fan gate before exiting. Tickets not scanned out will be invalid for re-entry.
  • Security Screening: Upon re-entry, guests must go through walk-through metal detectors and be rescreened. All bags are subject to inspection.

ABUSIVE FAN BEHAVIOR & DEROGATORY LANGUAGE

MLB and Bristol Motor Speedway are committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable environment for all fans, players, and staff. Any form of abusive behavior or derogatory language is strictly prohibited and will not be tolerated.

 

The use of offensive language or behavior concerning another person’s race, ethnicity, gender, religion, disability, age, sexual orientation, or national origin (“Derogatory Language”), whether directed at players, officials, team personnel, venue staff, or other fans, is unacceptable and inconsistent with the values and spirit of the game.

Disruptive behavior or interference of any kind is strictly prohibited. This includes entering the playing field or restricted areas (e.g., staff-only spaces, performance stage, etc.), interfering with balls in play, disrupting the progression of the game, event, or concert, or attempting to do so. Additionally, placing, dropping, tossing, or throwing any object or substance onto the playing field, stage, or anywhere else within Bristol Motor Speedway is not allowed under any circumstances.

Additionally, fighting, taunting or making threatening gestures, foul or abusive behavior, including obscene gestures, including betting-related speech and behavior, and/or any harassing or threatening actions, is prohibited, regardless of whether it is directed at other fans, players, players family members, Club personnel, umpires, or any other individual/group.

Fans are expected to treat everyone with respect. Fans who violate this policy may be subject to ejection, revocation of ticket privileges, or other disciplinary measures, including potential referral to local law enforcement when appropriate.
