The 16th annual Cline-Holder Electric Speedway in Lights 5K presented by Fleet Feet returns to Bristol Motor Speedway on Sunday, Nov. 15, when more than 1,000 festive participants will be the first to tour the region's largest and most dazzling holiday lights display in the tradition-rich run/walk event.

The popular three-plus mile race begins at 6 p.m. and will wind through the Food City Speedway In Lights course that will include new displays highlighted by the new 40-display Twelve Days of Christmas theme. The 5K will begin at the bottom of the track’s South Lot beside the Driver RV lot and follow an out and back route that will pass the historic Bristol Dragway before finishing inside iconic Bristol Motor Speedway at the HomeTrust Bank Finish Line, which will be positioned just before Turn 2.

The Cline-Holder Electric Speedway in Lights 5K presented by Fleet Feet will again provide participants who register early with the commemorative 2026 Speedway In Lights T-Shirt and Speedway in Lights Christmas Ornament to add to their collections.

In addition, participants will once again be able to see their official times when they finish the race as an official timing clock will be positioned near the finish line. In addition to the festive fun spirit that the event has developed over the years there will be plenty of awards presented by Fleet Feet in a variety of categories.

One of the most tradition-rich holiday fun-runs in the Appalachian Highlands region, the Cline-Holder Electric Speedway in Lights 5K presented by Fleet Feet is the official kick off for Speedway Children’s Charities-Bristol's annual Winter Events and holiday festivities and serves as one of the highly active organization’s major fundraisers.

“We are happy to welcome aboard Cline-Holder Electric as the title sponsor of the Speedway in Lights 5K presented by Fleet Feet, always a festive event that is celebrating its 16th year in 2026,” said Claudia Byrd, executive director of SCC-Bristol. “The Cline-Holder Electric Speedway In Lights 5K presented by Fleet Feet is a challenging run/walk event where so many in our community continue to support us each season by participating and making memories with their families and friends. The Cline-Holder Electric Speedway In Lights 5K participants will be the very first to see the 2026 route and all of its new elements while helping to support area children in need.”

Once participants tour the updated five-mile Food City Speedway In Lights course and cross the HomeTrust Bank Finish Line in the Cline-Holder Electric Speedway In Lights 5K presented by Fleet Feet they will be able to enjoy drinks and snacks provided by Food City in the BMS infield.
