The Bristol chapter of Speedway Children’s Charities (SCC) is revving up the race week fun for the Bass Pro Shops Night Race, Sept. 17-19, and will be conducting several important fundraising events around Bristol Motor Speedway to continue its important mission of assisting local children in need.
Some of SCC-Bristol's race week events include the popular Laps for Charity presented by Can Do Enterprises, the Charity Cornhole Tournament presented by The U.S. Army, the 50/50 Raffle presented by Ohio Logistics and the Red Bucket Brigade presented by Southeast Industrial Construction. SCC Restaurant Roundups at a trio of popular eateries will also be going on at during race weekend and beyond.
“We are so blessed to be able to host such a wide variety of fun events during the Bass Pro Shops Night Race, and we continue to receive tremendous participation from our very generous race fans, as well as many in the NASCAR industry,” said Claudia Byrd, executive director of Speedway Children's Charities' Bristol chapter. “We always look forward to Night Race week as one of our largest fundraising opportunities of the year. We couldn’t help so many local children in need without the tremendous support we receive during this event. We owe everyone who participates and donates much gratitude and a heartfelt thank you.”
Laps for Charity Presented by Can Do Enterprises
Race fans can take on the challenge of navigating the high banks of the World’s Fastest Half-Mile during the popular Laps for Charity presented by Can Do Enterprises. The event will be held on the Speedway’s .533-mile all-concrete oval on Wednesday, Sept. 16, starting at 7 p.m. This fan favorite event allows participants to drive their personal vehicles on the iconic track where so much NASCAR history has been made. The donation for an eight-lap session is $75 per vehicle. Fans also have the option to take a ride in the sleek BMS Chevy Corvette Pace Car and enjoy eight laps in the front seat ($150 donation per person). Participants must present their waiver and release form during check-in, which will close 30 minutes before the start time. If you are not checked in by 6:30 p.m., you will not be able to take laps. SCC Live Memorabilia Auctions presented by GFL Environmental at the Food City Fan Zone Stage
Several fun events will happen each day of the race weekend, from Thursday, Sept. 17-Saturday, Sept. 19, including a Live Memorabilia Auction presented by GFL Environmental at the Food City Fan Zone Stage on Friday at 4 p.m. and Saturday at 3 p.m. There will be many items available on the auction block, including diecast cars, autographed items, race car sheet metal, photos, VIP experiences and more.
SCC Restaurant Roundups coming to trio of local eateries
For a limited time, patrons can make a donation to SCC whenever they purchase a meal at a trio of participating restaurants near Bristol Motor Speedway. Participating restaurants include Tennessee Hills Distillery in Bristol, Tenn., (Sept. 18-20); Jersey Mike’s Subs Shop in Bristol, Tenn. (Sept. 18-19); and at any Steph & Andy’s Pizza Plus locations (August-September 2026).
Charity Cornhole Classic presented by the U.S. Army
Fans can also test their skills and compete for cash and bragging rights in the 2026 Charity Cornhole Classic presented by The U.S. Army. The cost is only $50 per team. Qualifying tournaments will take place Friday, Sept. 18, with qualifiers scheduled for noon and 3 p.m., and also on Saturday, Sept. 19 at 9 a.m. and noon. The top eight teams from each qualifier automatically moves onto the Championship Tournament, which will be held Saturday, Sept. 19 at 3 p.m. Teams are encouraged to Pre-Register online or they can also register onsite in the BMS Fan Zone.
50-50 Raffle presented by Ohio Logistics
The popular 50/50 Raffle presented by Ohio Logistics also returns to race weekend and will be available each day of the event. For just $10 a ticket, race fans could win up to $100,000 in the 50/50 Raffle presented by Ohio Logistics. Tickets are also sold in different quantities. You can get 1 ticket for $10; 10 tickets for $20; 100 tickets for $40; or 400 tickets for $100. Tickets can be purchased at the track, The Legacy Shop at Gate 14, The BMS app, or online by Tennessee residents only. The winning ticket will be drawn on Saturday, Sept. 19 during the Bass Pro Shops Night Race, and the winner will be announced on our website and social media channels. The winner does not have to be present to win.
Red Bucket Brigade presented by Southeast Industrial Construction
During Friday’s Food City 300 and the Bass Pro Shops Night Race on Saturday, race fans are encouraged to donate their loose change during the Red Bucket Brigade presented by Southeast Industrial Construction. Remember, every penny helps a child in need. During the early stages of each race, SCC volunteers will walk through grandstand areas and pass around the familiar SCC Red Buckets.

The NASCAR race weekend features the crown jewel Bass Pro Shops Night Race on Saturday night, Sept. 19, a 500-lap post-season race in the NASCAR Cup Series and also the Food City 300 on Friday night, Sept. 18, a Chase race in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series.
