NASCAR Cup Series drivers are setting the tone for Saturday night’s Bass Pro Shops Night Race at Bristol Motor Speedway, taking the stage to a lively mix of rock, country, hip-hop and a few unexpected selections during Bristol’s iconic driver introductions. As each driver is introduced, they will walk onto the smoke-filled stage to a song of their own choosing, grab the microphone and address the fans packed into The Last Great Colosseum before battling for 500 laps around Bristol’s legendary half-mile.
This year, the playlist carries special meaning. As part of Bristol Motor Speedway’s tribute to the late Dolly Parton during America’s Night Race weekend, three drivers selected her songs for their walkout moments. Ross Chastain is taking the stage to “Jolene,” Tyler Reddick to “9 to 5” and John Hunter Nemechek to Parton’s rendition of “Rocky Top” — a fitting and heartfelt salute to one of Tennessee’s most beloved icons.
The rest of the field brings an eclectic mix of rock, country, hip-hop and a few surprises. Christopher Bell walks out to Metallica's "For Whom the Bell Tolls" — a nod that needs no explanation. Austin Cindric makes his return with "Goofy Goober Rock" from SpongeBob SquarePants. Connor Zilisch and Erik Jones both chose Natasha Bedingfield's "Unwritten." And Cody Ware will enter to "Bling-Bang-Bang-Born" by Creepy Nuts.
