Following NHRA's recent announcement of its revised 2020 schedule, it was announced by series and track officials that the NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals at Bristol Dragway will continue to be held on Father's Day weekend, June 19-21.

Due to factors surrounding the COVID19 pandemic, NHRA also announced that the Thunder Valley Nationals is one of several races that will now conduct all professional category racing during two days of the three-day race weekend. The Professional classes scheduled for the NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals are Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycle.

As a result of this announcement, Bristol Dragway team members are currently working through several options and scenarios with NHRA to determine how the event will be structured and presented that weekend. Additionally, we will be in contact via email with all ticket account holders to discuss the updates and options once the schedule has been finalized.

"The priority for Bristol Dragway is customer satisfaction and we appreciate our fans for being patient while we finalize the weekend schedule for the 20th running of NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals," said Jerry Caldwell, executive vice president and general manager of Bristol Dragway. "We can't wait to hear the roar of nitro-powered engines rumbling once again at Thunder Valley on Father's Day weekend and we look forward to having all of our fans here to watch the world's fastest race cars in action."
