The action at BMS was off the charts in 2017 with the Food City 500 being one of the most competitive races in NASCAR this season. The April race weekend saw multiple styles of racing including the Bump'N’Run, freight train racing on the bottom and equally exciting side-by-side action. In addition to the on-track action, guests were treated to family-friendly fun all over property including at Food City Family Race Night, on the NASCAR Trackside Live stage and in the new concourse-level kid zones.

Let’s recap all the excitement of the Food City 500 weekend:

One of the most iconic races in motorsports, the Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race featured a championship-level drive from Kyle Busch who swept the race weekend, his second time accomplishing the feat at The Last Great Colosseum. Guests were treated to an electric atmosphere and got to wave goodbye to a true Bristol legend, Dale Earnhardt Jr.
