A trio of tourism partners in Sullivan County including Explore Bristol, Visit Kingsport, and Northeast Tennessee Tourism are joining forces to present the Nitro Welcome Village at Bristol Motor Speedway and Bristol Dragway for several upcoming major races, it was announced today by track officials.
The multi-event partnership between the three tourism offices will begin with this weekend’s Super Grip NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals at historic Bristol Dragway, June 12-14.
Bristol Motor Speedway’s two NASCAR Cup Series races also will be included in the sponsorship, as the Sullivan County tourism partners also will sponsor Guest Welcome Villages during the Bass Pro Shops Night Race weekend, September 17-19, along with the upcoming Food City 500 weekend in 2027.
During next weekend’s NHRA Super Grip Thunder Valley Nationals a moonshine runner themed photo area is planned for the Nitro Welcome Village fueled by Sullivan County Tourism Partners, as well as limited edition giveaways and interactive displays where guests can learn more about the fun opportunities and how to extend their stays throughout the County.
The large, tented area will continue to provide guests with information kiosks along with shade, tables, chairs and other amenities. During the NHRA weekend, on Saturday an annual driver autograph session will be held in the Nitro Welcome Village fueled by Sullivan County Tourism Partners area 30 minutes following the final nitro qualifying session.
