NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals Event Statement
As part of NHRA's revised 2020 schedule in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, NHRA and Bristol Motor Speedway have postponed the 2020 NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals, originally scheduled for June 19-21, 2020, to a yet-to-be-determined future date.
Due to the condensed NHRA schedule for the remainder of 2020, we do know that our event will shift to two days of professional competition rather than three. Our top priority is to reschedule the NHRA event in Bristol for a future date, and to do so in a way that continues to protect the health and wellbeing of all involved.
Ticketholders on file have three options:
- Use your tickets for the postponed event.
- Receive a credit for the full amount paid to date plus an additional 20%. The 120% credit can be applied toward admissions, including, but not limited to, tickets, camping, fan hospitality and access passes for the 2021 NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series event in Bristol.
- Receive a full refund of their purchase price.

NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals Ticket Exchange FAQ
The NHRA and Bristol Motor Speedway have announced NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals, originally scheduled for June 19-21, will be postponed to a yet-to-be-determined future date. The move comes in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and continued public health recommendations regarding social distancing and limitations on public gatherings.
The event will also transition from three days of professional competition to two days, Saturday and Sunday.

We are happy to offer ticketholders an event credit toward a future Bristol Dragway NHRA-sanctioned event in 2021. Event credits will be in the amount paid for all admissions including admission tickets, camping, fan hospitality, etc., plus an additional 20 percent credit on top of your paid amount.*
If fans are unable to attend another event in 2020 or 2021, we will accept requests for refunds.
*Event credits or refund requests must be submitted within 30 days following the rescheduled event date announcement.
In order for ticketholders to receive credit in their account, they will need to fill out the NHRA Ticket Exchange Form.
Credits will be available on your account in the next 3-4 weeks.
Credits will be placed on the ticketholder’s account to be used for a future NHRA-sanctioned event at Bristol Dragway. Credits will be available in the next 3-4 weeks.
Ticketholders unable to take advantage of the 120% credit can request a full refund of their purchase price. Requests will be reviewed and processed as soon as possible. Refunds may take several weeks to process. Refunds must be requested within 30 days of the announcement of the new event date.
Refunds will be processed back to the credit card used on the original order. Refunds could take several weeks to show on your credit card. If tickets were paid using another method of payment, a refund check will be issued and mailed to the ticketholder on file. Refund checks could delay payment even further. Every effort will be made to expedite your refund.
If you purchased tickets through Ticketmaster, please complete the ticket exchange form. A Bristol Dragway ticket representative will contact you to complete your selection.
Any future event credits or refunds will only be made to ticketholders on file with Bristol Dragway.
Yes. Any paid admission, including tickets, camping, fan hospitality, access passes, parking passes etc., purchased on the ticketholder’s account are eligible for a credit or refund.
*Service fees are not included in event credits or refunds.
