The award-winning Country Thunder Bristol returns to the main stage inside iconic Bristol Motor Speedway this Friday and Saturday (Oct. 6-7) for two nights filled with performances by some of Nashville’s best country artists.

On Friday night, Lauren Watkins (3 p.m.), Chase Matthew (4:30 p.m.), Jackson Dean (6 p.m.) and Randy Houser (7:30 p.m.) will open for the legendary headlining duo of Brooks & Dunn (9:30 p.m.).

Saturday’s lineup includes openers Megan Moroney (3 p.m.), Cooper Alan (4:30 p.m.) and Parmalee (6 p.m.) to set the stage for the fast-rising Jelly Roll (7:30 p.m.) and the night’s headliner, Eric Church (9:30 p.m.).

This is the third year for the popular music festival which recently earned the award for Music Festival of the Year in 2022 from the Academy of Country Music.

Brooks & Dunn have 20 No. 1 hits stretching back to 1991, two GRAMMY awards, dozens of ACM and CMA honors and a discography counting more album sales than any duo in history – regardless of genre. Brooks & Dunn’s massive hits, which have produced more than 30 million albums sold, includes “Boot Scootin’ Boogie,” “My Maria,” “Red Dirt Road,” “Neon Moon” and “Believe” among others.

Church, a native of nearby Boone, N.C., is a seven-time ACM Award winner, four-time CMA Award winner (including the 2020 award for Entertainer of the Year) and 10-time GRAMMY nominee. Church is one of the most electrifying performers and maintains a reputation for pushing boundaries as a prolific and consistent recording artist. His latest Gold-certified No. 1 “Hell of a View” and recent hit “Heart On Fire” are added to his best hits collection, which includes “Record Year”, “Round Here Buzz”, “Talladega”, “Springsteen” and “Drink in My Hand”.

Country newcomer Jelly Roll has transitioned well to his new genre after starting in hip hop. His star has rocketed recently and he is currently riding a wave of momentum on the Country Music charts. Earlier this week he made his debut on the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Some of his popular hits include “Save Me”, “Need a Favor”, “Halfway to Hell”, “Dead Man Walking” and “Son of a Sinner”.
