Speedway Children’s Charities Bristol chapter, in partnership with Your Local Home Pros and 97.3 LOVE FM, is ready to “Share the Love” with another great community outreach project for the organizations it supports throughout the Appalachian Highlands region.

Starting today, SCC-Bristol is accepting applications for a one-time facility refresh grant from those eligible child-based agencies in the 80-county wide region that it serves.

The grant will provide the winning organization with $15,000 in labor and materials provided by Home Pros for property and building maintenance. A Home Pros project manager will work directly with the winning organization to identify the repair and remodel needs, and outline a written scope of the work to be performed.

Services provided may include the following: pressure washing, siding repair, painting, staining, gutter repair, window and door repair, exterior illumination, some landscaping, and porch, deck and awning repair.

Organizations who wish to apply for the facility refresh grant will need to provide a 500-word written request, the exact address of the facility and photographs of the facility.

The application process begins today and will run through May 1st. Three finalists will be selected by an SCC-Bristol committee and the winner will be determined via a vote by the Appalachian Highlands community on 97.3 LOVE FM radio.

“This is a very exciting opportunity for the child-based agencies we serve and we are looking forward to ‘Share the Love’ and helping the winner of this exterior refresh grant spruce up their facility,” said Claudia Byrd, executive director of SCC-Bristol. “We can’t thank Your Local Home Pros and 97.3 LOVE FM enough for their generosity and assistance.”

Everyone is encouraged to follow SCC-Bristol, Your Local Home Pros and 97.3 LOVE FM social media pages to check the progress of the “Share the Love” community outreach project. LOVE FM also will be providing live mentions about the project and will provide the voting platform on the LOVE FM website.
