As race fans descend upon East Tennessee for the Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race in August, Kingsport, Johnson City and Bristol in partnership with Food City are teaming up again with Bristol Motor Speedway to launch America's Night Race week with the official Race Week Parties.

Kingsport will kick off the trifecta of parties on Monday, Aug. 12, before Johnson City grabs the baton for its own downtown block party on Tuesday, Aug. 13.

On Wednesday, Aug. 14, Food City and Bristol will host the anchor event, Food City Family Race Night, which returns to downtown Bristol to close out the Race Week Parties in style.

"We are excited about the return of Food City Family Race Night to State Street," said Kevin Stafford, vice president of marketing for Food City. "The downtown event has been very successful over the years and we are looking forward to returning to State Street this year. It's all about bringing families and the community together."

Following the three nights of parties, race fans and locals can head to the track for three consecutive nights of short track racing, beginning Thursday, Aug. 15.

Last years Recap:

"The Race Week Parties are a great way to engage locals and NASCAR fans for three nights of fun before three nights of great racing," said Jerry Caldwell, executive vice president and general manager at Bristol Motor Speedway. "When we show the hospitality of our community, it encourages our visitors to spend more time in the region, which benefits everyone."

Additional details on each event will be announced at a press conference on July 10. A media advisory will be shared at the end of June.
