A timelapse video taken from a camera positioned high above Bristol Motor Speedway infield last week shows the early days of construction as crews are working feverishly to build the field and supporting structures for the historic MLB Speedway Classic presented by BuildSubmarines.com.
As the days are shown quickly passing by in the 1 minute and 31 second video, it sends a firm reminder to fans that there are 30 days remaining until the much-anticipated game between the Atlanta Braves and Cincinnati Reds gets underway on Saturday night, August 2 at 7 p.m.
For those who still plan to purchase tickets and attend the history-making affair, the first MLB game to be played in the state of Tennessee, they will need to act quickly as a limited number of great seats remain. Beginning today until Sunday night, July 6 (11:59 p.m. ET), Major League Baseball is offering a limited time no-ticket fees ticket promotion.
There is so much value in an MLB Speedway Classic ticket. In addition to the game between longtime MLB rivals the Cincinnati Reds and Atlanta Braves, fans will also get to enjoy an amazing 220,000-square foot Fan Zone starting with live music, food trucks, a photo booth with the MLB Commissioner’s Trophy, pitching tunnels, batting cages, the Legacy Walk highlighting legendary players from both the Braves and Reds, a Ferris Wheel, the Budweiser Clydesdales, appearances by team mascots and branded MLB stock cars for photo opportunities.
After fans have explored the Fan Zone, they will get to take their seats inside the stadium and enjoy the pregame concert with headliner Tim McGraw and his special guests, Pitbull and Jake Owen. The pregame concert will entertain fans right up to game time.
Then, those famous words “Play Ball!” will be spoken inside the Last Great Colosseum and more wow moments and amazing memories are sure to unfold when speedsters like Elly De La Cruz of the Cincinnati Reds take on Ronald Acuna and the Atlanta Braves on a field built between the walls of one of NASCAR’s most tradition-rich racetracks, where so much stock car racing history has been made.
