Kids from throughout the Tri-Cities region and beyond are invited to Bristol Motor Speedway this Saturday (Oct. 27) to take advantage of the first trick-or-treat opportunity of the season during the Metro by T-Mobile Halloween Monster Truck Mash.

Gates will open at 1 p.m. and kids are encouraged to dress in their favorite Halloween costumes. The drivers of eight of the biggest and baddest monster trucks on the planet, along with vendors and BMS track officials, will pass out candy in one of the largest trick-or-treat gatherings in Tennessee.

The huge Trunk or Treat Pit Party will also feature a best costume competition with great prizes as well as the opportunity to grab a seat to take a wild ride aboard the Sasquatch monster truck bus for only $10 per person.

The Trunk or Treat Pit Party is just one of the many highlights of the Metro by T-Mobile Halloween Monster Truck Mash. Eight behemoth monster trucks will perform, including Snake Bite, X-Termigator, Ice Cream Man, Black Stallion, Overkill, Buckshot, Tailgator and Predator. The trucks will compete in two disciplines: racing and the fan-favorite freestyle.

The show begins at 3 p.m. In addition to the monster trucks and the pit party, guests will want to see the impressive action from the Bandit Big Rig Series exhibitions and Team FMX, which brings its high-flying motocross action to The Last Great Colosseum. The Bandit Big Rig Series, featuring 10 of the gnarliest "iron giants" on the planet, will battle it out on the high banks of Bristol Motor Speedway during a special exhibition at the Metro by T-Mobile Halloween Monster Truck Mash.

Run on short tracks throughout the United States, the big rig tractor trucks will face a challenge unlike anything they are accustomed to, the steep banking of Bristol Motor Speedway. Competing in a pair of 25-lap heat races, these big rigs will be fighting for survival and the ultimate prize, a victory at the hallowed half-mile high-banked oval.

Fans can visit any participating Metro by T-Mobile store this month to enter for a chance to win tickets to the event. On Friday, Oct. 26 at 4 p.m., the Bristol Metro by T-Mobile store at 971 Volunteer Pkwy will host a Monster Truck party with Snake Bite on display.

General admission tickets for this night of family fun are $20 ($25 day of) with advance purchase. Tickets for kids 12 and under are only $5. For more information and to purchase tickets, call 423-BRISTOL or visit www.BristolMotorSpeedway.com.
